L'Oreal Colour Trophy 2014 Regional Finals

LCT We are the proud winners of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy North Eastern Regional Finals, which were held at The Royal Armouries. Leeds on the evening of the 8th April, 2014.

To win the Regional Final entrants needed to create a well-executed, inspirational modern colour with a beautiful editorially inspired style and finish on a female model, complementing an Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion trend.

Our very own Jordan Robertson and Nicky Thornton fought off strong competition as they created a striking look, colouring the models’ hair with tones of coppers and deep reds and dressing her in a floor length gold gown in line with forthcoming catwalk trends. Jordan wanted to work with glamour and beauty, drawing inspiration from Megan Fox’s renowned marcel wave and progressing it into a natural yet editorial look. Nicky Thornton described her colour work as “ working with the natural tones and luscious vibrancy of the models hair. I didn’t want to take anything away from that instead, I worked to enhance the colour and encourage depth and variation in the hair.”

We will go on to compete at the Grand Final, which will be held on Monday 23rd June at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London. This promises to be a thrilling and inspirational evening, featuring 3 spectacular hair shows by some of the industry’s most illustrious names and showcasing the talents of the Grand Finalists.

Wish us luck!
